This reaffirms my decision to not like John... →
He has a lot of ideas… but they all make me want to gouge out my eyes so that I may manually resuscitate the remnants of my brain through my eyeholes. (Thank you for confusing me so much, Kelly.)

Victory is fricking DESTROYING Jigglypuff.
– This is not a quote (real “victory” quotes are all laaaame). This is me gloating because I FINALLY unlocked all the characters for Super Smash Bros Brawl.

Ultimate pros & cons worksheet... apparently still...
Apparently, people are still looking for the ultimate pros & cons Excel sheet I made over a year ago, based on a more original idea on Lifehack.org. I have personally never reaped the benefits of my own work, choosing instead to blunder through life’s decisions with the thought and efficiency of a drugged wombat on a rocking horse, but at least I learned a thing or two about Excel while...

Ask Lucy
Kelly: a random shower thought:
Kelly: why do people seem more willing to save a stray dog than provide support for a homeless person, or someone in a third world country
Lucy: a stray dog is right in front of your eyes and you can see that they are helpless
Lucy: there is the idea that homeless people are homeless because it is their own fault
Lucy: and people in third world countries suffer from the out of side out of mind effect
Kelly: yes but a DOG is a DOG
Kelly: don't get me wrong
Kelly: i love my dog
Lucy: and dogs are man's best friends
Kelly: but it's not a human
Lucy: american culture values dogs
Lucy: they do not value perceived deadbeats on the streets
Lucy: it doesn't help that some people are ACTUALLY beggars because they can make money without doing work
Lucy: like this one guy on a street near campus who is always around in a wheelchair, begging for change... but his legs actually are fine and he takes fricking LUNCH BREAKS
Lucy: (he even upgraded to an electric wheelchair)
Kelly: hahahah !
Kelly: oh social commentary

Jabbawockeez won! →
Even though I’m a Boston native (and totally *HEART* Status Quo), they totally deserved the win.

Happiness is sometimes elusive, sometimes...
(Perhaps not exactly what kxj asked for in her happiness meme…)
Play-Asia's 20% off Easter sale = me parting with... →
Because I desperately need another rhythm game to replace Ouendan (what better than Ouendan 2?)… AND I also need my DS to tell me how to cook (in Japanese… this is totally educational).

Disqus →
Ditto to Kelly:
The internet’s been a-buzz about Disqus lately, especially since Tumblr doesn’t have a native comment feature. Disqus allows you to manage your comments in one place. Just installed it this here site, so feel free to comment - just remember to sign your post if you post anonymously so I know who you are.

Police: Family prayed instead of getting medical... →
An 11-year-old girl dies from an easily treatable form of diabetes because her parents chose to pray for her instead of bringing her to the doctor. This is akin to not feeding a child and just WILLING that her stomach will fill with food she will grow big and strong. If that does not constitute neglect (and grounds to remove the girl’s three siblings from obviously insufficient care), then I...
Expelled Exposed →
The National Center for Science Education’s official response to the Creationist propaganda film Expelled. (Ben Stein narrates it… really, did ANYONE thing it would be a good film when HE’S the one doing the bulk of the talking? Anyone? Bueller?)

Tumblr for now
No time to deal with my Wordpress theme randomly breaking on me… I’ll hang out on tumblr for now.
