Police: Family prayed instead of getting medical aid for girl who died
An 11-year-old girl dies from an easily treatable form of diabetes because her parents chose to pray for her instead of bringing her to the doctor. This is akin to not feeding a child and just WILLING that her stomach will fill with food she will grow big and strong. If that does not constitute neglect (and grounds to remove the girl’s three siblings from obviously insufficient care), then I don’t know what does. (Via Skepchick and Pharyngula)
