I feel like the hopeless girlfriend with low self-esteem who waits by the phone
…if we pretend that my boyfriend is JET (that’s the Japanese Exchange and Teaching Program).
With all the hubbub over college admissions and my friend’s recent letter about her Fulbright, I’m getting reeeeal impatient waiting for official word about whether or not I get to go to Japan next year.
Mainly, I just want to know if I should start planning to leave the country or start picking out a dog I want to get (I promised my dad we could get a dog if I DON’T leave the country… that seems backwards, but it’s how it is).
