Now what?

The Stevenote the other day wasn’t too exciting for me, so I went and bought my long-awaited upgrade laptop, the 15” Macbook Pro… and an iPod Touch. To protect all of this shiny new tech from this klutz and her klutzy family, I’ve begun to look for cases and stuff for it all. Here’s the shopping list:

  1. Silicone keyboard protector, ~$5 from random sellers on eBay. Keeps your skin flakes and dirt out of your computer AND makes the keys a bit more tactile.
  2. ZeroShock case, ~$40 from eBay. I have an older version for my 12” PowerBook, which worked very well. I like being able to put my laptop into ANY bag that will fit it and have it be well-protected.
  3. Urethane screen protector for iPod Touch, $11.50 from eBay. The iPod Touch’s screen is actually pretty scratch resistant, but I randomly read a review for theĀ Invisible Shield from Zagg, which was said to make the screen less smudge-prone… so I found a cheaper version made of the same stuff on eBay.
  4. iPod Touch case… I’ll make it on my own? So I am preeeetty finicky with cases and haven’t been able to find the perfect one for a decent price. I’ve basically decided to try to make one myself once the iPod gets here. We’ll see how that turns out…
