Dear iMovie 08, I hate you.
If only my computer with iMovie 06 wasn’t in CHINA. I’ve heard rumors of someone beating the useful out of iMovie 08, but didn’t REALLY believe it until now.
So I don’t have a DV camera, but I’ve got all these AVI files I’ve captured. iMovie 08 makes my life simpler here by totally refusing to import these files so that I don’t have to do any video editing at all!! I’ve tried encoding these things in every single codec that will work in ffmpegX… and it works not at all.
Join me later today, when I will download and try every freaking Mac video editor I can find.
