Preparations for being clothed in Japan

I leave for Japan THIS SATURDAY and will be living there for at least a year. Instead of packing every single item of clothing I own, I’ll just be bringing a few essentials and buying most of my stuff there (I am a tiny Asian, so I figure finding clothes in Japan will be easier than finding clothes in the US).

So here’s a list of places (that my mom got from one of her internet buddies… crazy, huh?) where I can get some clothes (this is just a note to self, in case you haven’t realized):

Cheap clothes

  • Uniqlo / ユニックロ (of course)
  • ニッセン (because it’s on the internets and the internets = cheap + easy)

Medium price

  • Rio
  • Jusco
  • 大栄 / Daiei

Expensive

  • 4°C
  • 高島屋 / Takashimaya
  • 三越 / Mitsukoshi
