I’m in Kushiro!
I made it to my new home away from home the day before yesterday! It’s totally freaking sweetness in a bucket of awesome… with a brass band playing in the background.
My new apartment is really nice (got it on video, but my computer can’t get on the internet to upload it). The people here are all impressed that I can actually speak Japanese already (though I still suck at Japanese).
There’s a mall and a 100 yen store right down the street from where I live, which makes life a whole lot easier for me. I’ve even gotten the hang of riding a bike again! Though I almost hit several trees the first time around (mainly because I was following my vice principal and I swear he was treating the route back to my apartment like a Mario Kart course… If he had a turtle shell, I’d be dead).
Okay that’s about it for now. Might go to Sapporo this weekend, but haven’t quite decided yet (I have no place to stay… It would totally involve hoboing at an internet cafe).
