Uhh when was the last time I posted again?
I guess it was Friday! Okay, not bad! (Shout out to Aimee, btw: Happy belated birthday!!)
Friday night, I went to see my school’s teacher hockey team play… and lose horrible. It was magnificently hilarious. One of my English teachers asked me to join. I suck at skating fast, but after watching them play, I think I may actually be of help (with a little practice… GOOOOOOO DUCKS!!11).
Saturday, Corey and I played tennis with one of my English teachers and her other teacher friends. I was never good at tennis and it did not help that I have not played since high school. It was fun, though. Corey and I went on a huuuge athletic equipment shopping the morning of so we’d actually have things to play in/with. I now own the best racket I have ever owned (considering how all of my previous rackets were $20 from Walmart).
Sunday, there was an International Cultural Music and Food Festival (rough translation). Corey got conscripted to volunteer with his school’s English club (adorable club, by the way). I had nothing better to do, so I went down to see it. Also took some scenic shots of Kushiro City, which I will upload if I have enough batteries left after two classes (stupid of the day: not bringing my computer’s A/C adapter when I plan on using said computer in two classes). The festival thing was pretty interesting, though it was a bit chilly. Lots of Ainu stuff, food stands, African drumming (with dancing and general tomfoolery on behalf of the festival participants), jazz band, folk guitar… just a lot of random stuff.
That brings us up to today. Nothing has happened yet. Killing time until my first class of the day. Maybe I’ll go back to my desk and listen to podcasts.
