…and then Steve surprised no one
Well, Steve did the totally predicted and unveiled new Mac laptops… and got rid of trackpad buttons in his continuing crusade against BUTTONS.
I don’t get why ANYONE needs 39% more scrolling space, though… okay, maybe the people with big hands who want to do that awesome low-five trackpad gesture (disclaimer: it is actually a four-finger swipe, but I think Steve should look into integrating the low-five)… but most people probably DON’T like careening around the trackpad in carpal tunnel syndrome inducing abandon. I consistently keep my use within a 1” square so the trackpad can be even SMALLER for all I care.
… uh ANYWAY…
There’s a new 13” “MacBook”… but it’s basically what the 12” PowerBook WAS so it’s basically a smaller MacBook Pro. I quite enjoyed my little 12” PowerBook, so the new MBP evokes the “aww, it’s cute because it’s smaller than the 15-inch” emotion within me.
And THEN Steve made me late for work. Ugh.
