Lucy realizes that her life is not really interesting in excruciating detail, so this is her homage to brevity and LOLs.

Currently, she talks English at students in Hokkaido, Japan.

I went to a Johnny’s concert

I was given tickets to 20th Century (the older three members of the group V6) by a friend (who had ALSO received the tickets unwittingly, but had an actual excuse to not go see the show), so I roped in my Johnny’s-loving friend and we saw the show today.

Hands-down, the most hilarious thing I’ve seen in Japan to date.

However, rather than relate to you the nitty-gritty details that encompass a Johnny’s (click the link, I won’t be explaining it) concert, I will just describe to you some of the costumes worn by the group and the backup dancers, since that about sums up how hilarious the actual show was.

  1. Group members: long, flashy coats and equally flashy stuff underneath.. I THINK they were white or silver?
    Backup dancers: white suits.
  2. Group members: white graphic T-shirts and tight black pants. Then they changed into tap shoes.
    Backup dancers: not present.
  3. Group members: cotton candy blue velvet suits with matching fedoras.
Backup dancers: cyber-punk orange and black outfits that looked like someone had more freedom than they deserved with colored duct tape.
  4. Group members: white pleather pants, white graphic T, and some sort of matching white pleather outerwear item (a jacket or a vest).
Backup dancers: separate tops and pants that seemed to be made of random pieces of vintage windbreaker fabrics from the 80’s and 90’s.
  5. Group members: normal street clothes for a random dramatic short that was half-recorded, and half live.
Backup dancers: normal gym clothes, briefly.
  6. Group members: two wore bright orange satin suits. One wore a red, green, and gold satin suit, a harness covered in lights, and bright red satin wings with a big green and gold “V” covered with Maruchan Ramen logos… and he was suspended from the ceiling with a similarly attired toy baby.
Backup dancers: jackets that looked remarkably reminiscent of circus tents, no undershirts (wheee!), and orange pants.
  7. Group members: white dress shirts, black vests, black pants, black fedoras, fluroescent green gloves.
Backup dancers: black pants, black vest, fluorescent green hoodie and gloves.
  8. Group members: sweat suits with silver and fluorescent green diagonal stripes.
Backup dancers: bright pink and black checkered sweat pants and bright pink hoodies.
  9. Group members: black and white striped sequined pants, white dress shirt and jacket. One member had a matching fedora.
Backup dancers: a different color for each dancer, but basically the same satin-looking structured shirt (with pockets) and baggy pants.

I think I missed a few outfits and screwed up the order in a couple of places, but that was basically the show. Amazing.

[Flash 9 is required to listen to audio.]

I am feeling random. This is a “technofolk” noisemix entitled “Slice It” that I made in GarageBand when I got my first Mac and was all excited about all the Creative Stuff I could do with it. I did three of these horrific abuses of audio loops until I got sick of it. Unfortunately, my favorite of the three was lost when my external hard drive crashed… I got my computer to do a rap about scissors. It was as horrendous as it sounds. But also excellent, because it was my computer freaking rapping about scissors. You guys will have to just imagine that and take my word that it was awesome.
